Explore the science behind fitness
When you sit around you loose memory. Sitting down is humans most common activity, nonetheless did you know that you loose memory when sitting down.
“More than 130 different studies confirm that exercise helps prevent dementia and other cognitive disorders like ALS and Alzheimers.”
There is a link between high intensity training and our cognitive memory. Even monkeys who run on a treadmill learn twice as fast as sedentary simians. If you work in an office, now is probably the time you want to join a gym or start running. Research has proven that human sprinters learn vocabulary words 20% faster than their human counter parts. Ditch that massive plasma for a pair of running shoes (don’t bin it, just grab some shinny running shoes).
Exercise results in happiness
When you exercise you release a protein called BDNF (Brain-derived neurotrophic factor), and acts as a reset switch. Meaning after exercising it makes our thoughts more clear and puts us at ease. As well as this, our brain releases endorphins a chemical designed to fight stress, and is also associated to a feeling of euphoria. Resulting in our happiness.
So if you’re all about pushing your personal limits, and expanding your mental, social and physical strength – exercise is going to be your saviour. Whether its raining, muddy or you’ve simply had a lack of sleep. Push yourself, the benefits are monstrous and will make you a better person overall.
